ZEITGEIST

March, 14 (Wednesday) 2012 at 8:00 in VCH Come and hear one of the country's premier new music ensembles give a concert of newly composed music. With its unique instrumentation of two percussion, piano, and woodwinds, Minneapolis-based Zeitgeist has been presenting works of substance with passion and integrity for more than 30 years. UNT alumnus Chapman Welch will return to engineer the interactive computer music for his work Moiré. The Nova Ensemble will collaborate with Zeitgeist in a performance of John Cage's Music For 11. Cort Lippe's Music for Cajon and Computer, Ethan Wickman's Angles of Repose, and and Andrew Rindfleisch's Night Singing will round out the program.
