Chapman Welch is a doctoral student in composition at UNT. He received his B.A. in philosophy from Mississippi State University, and his Masters degree in music composition and electronic music from UNT.

Projects at CEMI include tape composition, 8-channel diffusion techniques, interactive composition with MAX/MSP and improvisation with live electronics.
