How to get to CEMI and the Merrill Ellis Intermedia Theater from Dallas:
Take I-35E to Denton. Exit I-35E at North Texas Boulevard. If coming from Dallas, merge to the right lane of the frontage road and take a right at the light; if you're coming south on I-35, take a left under the highway.
note: at this point, start driving slowly - the speed limit on campus is 20 mph and they enforce it!
Take North Texas Boulevard into campus, continuing straight through the traffic light at Eagle Drive. Then turn right a couple of blocks later at the stop sign, Chestnut Street.
Continue for two blocks and cross Avenue C. You will see a kiosk on your left where you can obtain a visitor parking permit; the attendant will tell you where you may park. Note that when you're at the booth, the College of Music complex is to your right: it takes up the entire block between Chestnut and Highland along Avenue C.
To park at a meter instead of obtaining a permit: when you enter campus, take a right at the first street after the light at Eagle Drive. This is Highland Street, which has many parking meters.
Once you park, you can follow the campus map to find the Merrill Ellis Intermedia Theater (MEIT). The entrance is about a quarter of a block north of Highland, on the east side of Avenue C. There is a concrete ramp leading down to a breezeway through the building; you will see glass double doors to your left at the bottom of the ramp. Enter the glass doors, and MEIT will be the first entrance to your left, Room MU 1001.
