Electric LaTex 2007 -- Call For Works
The College of Music at the University of North Texas is honored to host the 7th annual Electric LaTex regional festival of electroacoustic music. This year's festival is scheduled for November 16th and the 17th in the Merrill Ellis Intermedia Theater at the University of North Texas, Denton Texas.

Location

The festival will be held in CEMI's  Merrill Ellis Intermedia Theater on the UNT campus

Each school is invited to submit up to 45 minutes worth of music by student composers. It is up to each participating school to select their portion of the program; however, in order to set the program order, we will need a copy of each work (or a close approximation of it) by October 26th (arrival date).

See submission requirements below for more details.

Submission Requirements for the 2007 Electric LaTex

  1. To set the program order, the rehearsal schedule, and print the programs, we need a copy of each submitted work.  In the case of improvised, interactive, partially finished works or works with unrecorded live elements, submit at least a close approximation of the final work along with the supporting information.
  2. Each school is responsible for collecting student works into a single submission. Due date for submissions is Monday, October 26th, 2007(arrival date).
  3. Composers of programmed works must attend the festival.
  4. Composers are responsible for providing their own performers.
  5. Composers of interactive works are responsible for providing their own computer and software.

and  provide a README on the Supporting Data CD/DVD with the required additional  information.
